This licence covers every IDE edition of Edgely Console published by SIGEAD: Edgely Console for IntelliJ-based IDEs (JetBrains Marketplace), Edgely Console for Visual Studio Code (Visual Studio Marketplace and Open VSX), Edgely Console for Eclipse (Eclipse Marketplace) and Edgely Console for NetBeans (Apache NetBeans Plugin Portal). The same terms are included as a LICENSE file in each edition's installable package.

1. Grant

Subject to the terms below, SIGEAD grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the plugin or extension ("the Software") on devices you own or control, for the purpose of managing your own systems or systems you are authorised to administer.

No fee is charged for this licence.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

1. copy, redistribute, sublicense, sell, rent, lease or lend the Software, or make it available to third parties, except by directing them to an official Edgely distribution channel;
2. modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Software;
3. reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction;
4. remove, obscure or alter any proprietary notices, trademarks or attributions contained in the Software.

3. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. SIGEAD and its suppliers retain all right, title and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. No rights are granted other than those expressly set out in this licence.

4. Third-party components

The Software incorporates third-party open-source components, each governed by its own licence. Those licences continue to apply to those components and nothing in this licence limits any right you have under them. Notices and licence texts for these components are distributed with the Software.

5. Your data

The Software runs locally in your IDE. Credentials you store are held in the operating system's credential store through the IDE's own secret storage: IntelliJ PasswordSafe, Visual Studio Code SecretStorage, Eclipse Secure Storage or the NetBeans Keyring. SIGEAD does not receive your credentials, connection details or file contents unless you explicitly sign in to an Edgely account and enable a Portal feature that transmits them.

6. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SIGEAD BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

The Software administers remote servers and container hosts. You are responsible for the commands you run through it and for their effects on the systems you connect to.

8. Termination

This licence terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must stop using the Software and remove all copies.

9. Marketplace operators

The Software is distributed through third-party marketplaces: JetBrains Marketplace, Visual Studio Marketplace, Open VSX, Eclipse Marketplace and the Apache NetBeans Plugin Portal. SIGEAD is the licensor of the Software. The operators of those marketplaces, including JetBrains s.r.o. and its affiliates, are not parties to this licence, give no warranty for the Software and have no liability for it.
